St Patrick's Eve

Our second meeting for March fell on the 16th March - the day before St Patrick's Day.  Colleen always wears green on St Patrick's and brings us goodies in green for a treat at lunch time.  Today was no exception.  She came armed with Lime Splices (for non Australian's, that is a vanilla ice cream on a stick surrounded by an thin layer of ice block).  Yum!

Evelyn attended a lunch on Wednesday for the Concord Hostel.  We donated a quilt for their raffle - no details of amount raised yet.

We had a lot of unfinished tops brought in, but only a few completed quilts.

First two were made by Evelyn:

Ann made this one, and Evelyn quilted it.

The next three were made by Robyn

Robin found the feature fabric in this one in Hawaii

Close up of feature fabric - isn't it gorgeous?
The centre panel for this one was donated by Robin's friend Kay Grant.

Kay also donated 2 flimsies which I am sure you will see in due course.

Jan made this hand pieced quilt as you go hexagon quilt.

And it's reversible!

That's all for now.  Happy St Patrick's Day.

  1. We have something similar (usually orange outer flavor) called creamcicles. Your group is so productive and generous.
