A Productive Summer Break

Hello folks!  Welcome to the first post for 2014.  Welcome to our new followers too - great to see you come on board.  So exciting to see you pop up!

Stitching Hearts met for the first time this year in mid January, but it was yesterday before we had a truly fantastic Show & Tell.  Everyone has been super productive over the summer break, and here is the evidence to prove it.....

First cab off the rank was Evelyn.  She tried very hard to avoid being caught on camera, but I managed to sneak one in when she wasn't looking.

Aren't these little ladies as cute as can be?

Jill.....

The fabrics for the quilt above and below were donated by Coleen's friend Margaret.  Without donations we would not exist!  Tops made by Jill.

Cheryl was busy.  She spent several weeks in Cowra, and I suspect she did nothing but sew.

Jan....

Robin's long arm quilting machine was delivered in January, and she wasted no time in practising her quilting...

I didn't take notes while these quilts were being displayed, so I can't remember who made this.

These next two were made by Cheryl, did she quilt them too?

This last quilt is red poppies and was made by Evelyn & Robin for Aussie Hero Quilts.   If you haven't visited Aussie Heroes before, do go and take a look - its very inspiring.

Some of the ladies like to hand stitch labels and bindings during their time in the group.....

Sorry girls - not a good photo.

In the background of this next one is Jan - she always tries to duck the photo, and this time she succeeded, but more by good luck than good management, i.e. the photographer's inattention!

You can also see the cutting station at the back on the stage, and some of the stash in tubs.

Thank you for persevering to the end.  Hope you have enjoyed your little visit to Stitching Hearts.
